London To Monaco Cycle For Marine Conservation Charity

European Watercare is delighted to have sponsored a 930-mile London to Monaco cycle ride to raise funds for marine conservation.

The London to Monaco Cycle is a charity event in aid of The Blue Marine Foundation (BLUE). BLUE is a conservation charity dedicated to creating marine reserves and establishing sustainable models of fishing around the world.

European Watercare is committed to improving the quality of water and the environment through sustainability. This charity bike ride ties in with our green ethos and dedication to plastic waste reduction. All European WaterCare UK manufactured water filters offer a better deal for the environment through sustainable manufacturing processes and products.

The annual cycling challenge, which launched in 2016, will see cyclists ride through 8 countries in 7 days. The ride kicks off on Wednesday, September 19 from London with participants crossing the finishing line in Monaco on Tuesday, September 25.

London to Monaco was founded by one of BLUE’s long-standing partners Winch Design. It is supported by a range of global businesses, including our client, UK artisan coffee roasters, Climpson and Sons.

London to Monaco is the ultimate cycling challenge to support our oceans. The grueling route will take riders through the cobbles of Roubaix, sections of Tour de Flanders, two Grand Tours and three other WorldTour stage races.

BLUE’s aim is to see at least 10% of the ocean under protection by 2020, with a long-term aim of 30% protected. Funds raised have supported projects on Ascension Island, the Maldives, Aeolian Islands, the Solent and in the Mediterranean where we are combatting plastic pollution with the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. In just 8 years, BLUE has helped protect over 4 million square kilometres of ocean. To donate to the London to Monaco Cycle in aid of BLUE, click here.
