A commercial carbon water filter uses activated carbon to reduce chlorine and adsorb organic compounds that can cause unwanted tastes, odours and discolouration. It is commonly used to improve incoming mains water for drinking water systems, ice-making equipment and foodservice applications.
Activated carbon filtration does not soften water or remove dissolved hardness minerals. Where limescale protection is required, GA Carbon may need to form part of a wider water treatment system.
