Reverse Osmosis systems for all foodservice applications.
European WaterCare manufactures, supplies, installs and maintains Reverse Osmosis water treatment solutions to meet all foodservice requirements including specialist solutions for warewashing and combination/steam ovens.

European WaterCare has designed and developed specific Reverse Osmosis solutions for: -
Dish and glasswashing – click here to go to that page
Combination and steam ovens – click here to go to that page

These are the most compact units of their kind and are particularly cost-effective for caterers with extremely hard or variable water quality, who currently use high volumes of demineralisation units to treat the water. Reverse Osmosis systems do not require exchanging, like demin systems and only require servicing at six monthly intervals. European WaterCare employs its own team of engineers who will take care of the service on a fixed cost basis.

REVERSE OSMOSIS (RO)

RO is the preferred water treatment method for combination and steam oven applications and also helps to provide a hand polished finish to glassware, cutlery and crockery from the glass or dishwasher.

RO removes 97% or more of all dissolved materials, including hardness minerals and chlorides, from the water supply. If these dissolved materials are not removed they can cause significant corrosion and/or scale build-up within the oven.

WHAT IS OSMOSIS?

Osmosis is the natural process by which plants and trees take up water and nutrients from the soil around their root systems. When solutions of different concentrations are separated by a semi-permeable membrane – which will only allow the passage of water and not the dissolved solids – water will naturally pass from the dilute solution to the more concentrated, in order to make the solution strengths equal. This phenomenon is called OSMOSIS. Osmosis can be reversed by applying pressure to the more concentrated solution, then collecting the pure water which passes through the membrane. This ‘Permeate Water' is virtually free of biological, chemical and dissolved organic substances. This is the principle of REVERSE OSMOSIS.
